The need
Daily follow-up needs a view that reads person, process and product type together. If operational and support roles are not separated, a general average can hide what is happening on the floor. I therefore needed a simple view that could show the type of work together with the stage of development.
My work
Based on my operations experience at Arvato, I developed an HTML-based Operations Control Panel. It is structured to read operational and support roles separately. It brings person, process and product type views together in one working space. I focused on connecting a practical floor question to the right level of data.
What I look at in the panel
I start with the UPH view in context: which person, which process and which product type? I then look at the learning curve and the effect of onboarding on productivity. I use the data to understand possible needs around training, task allocation or process flow. It supports the follow-up of incentive system targets.
Daily use
The panel is used daily in live operations. I use it in daily operating follow-up to see which area needs a closer review, which development needs follow-up and where incentive targets stand. It gives the operations team a shared view of the same question and the same data.
